ArmInfo. On June 26, RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan received World Bank Country Director for Armenia Caroline Geghinat, who is concluding her term in the country.
As reported by the presidential press service, The President expressed gratitude to the World Bank partners and personally to Carolin Geginat for the vital programs implemented over the past four years and the support provided to the Government of the Republic of Armenia. "In this context, I especially value Your personal contribution to the continuous development and advancement of our cooperation," noted the President. In turn, Carolin Geginat thanked the President for the warm reception and kind words of appreciation, emphasizing that during her tenure, she did her utmost to strengthen the effective partnership between Armenia and the World Bank.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the progress of ongoing programs with the World Bank, the main directions of cooperation, and future opportunities. They emphasized the importance of continuing these programs, particularly in terms of community development, infrastructure modernization, and strengthening socio-economic potential. The President also highly valued the humanitarian, social, educational, and healthcare initiatives carried out by the World Bank, which have a significant impact on improving the living conditions of citizens. Both sides stressed that such cooperation continues to be a vital contribution to Armenia's sustainable and inclusive development, as well as to the institutional strengthening of the state.
