Rospotrebnadzor requested additional information from competent  authorities in Armenia regarding the reason for the ban of Eskimo ice  cream

ArmInfo. Rospotrebnadzor has requested information from the competent authorities in Armenia about the reasons for a temporary ban on the import of "Korovka from Korenovka" ice cream, as reported by the press service of the  department.

"In connection with the information in the media about the  temporary  ban on the import of ice cream produced by the Russian "Factory of  Real Ice Cream",  under the brand name "Korovka from Korenovka",  Rospotrebnadzor notes that within the framework of the conducted  monitoring, no cases of non- compliance of the said products  (unsatisfactory results) with safety and quality requirements,  including those established by the technical regulations of the  Customs Union, were registered," the department told journalists.   Rospotrebnadzor has requested additional information from the  competent authorities of Armenia about the reasons for the  restrictions imposed on products made in  Russian, including the  results of laboratory tests.

The department called monitoring the quality and safety of food  products as a priority area of work for Rospotrebnadzor. The company  <Factory of Real Ice Cream> (brand <Korovka from Korenovka>, part of  the <Renna> Group) stated that it had not received official  conclusions from the Armenian authorities regarding the batch of ice  cream, that  had previously been criticized for not meeting sanitary  standards, the press service of the group of companies told  <Interfax>.  The batch in question is the <Eskimo plombir vanilla in  chocolate-cream glaze>, produced on March 7, 2025. The company  emphasized that the products had passed all the required stages of  quality control before export, and  no violations were found. After  receiving a signal from partners, the batch was re- checked, and  laboratory tests once again showed no deviations.

<To date, we still have not received official documents from the  Armenian side. Shipments of our products to Armenia continue, no  restrictions have been received, except for the specified batch>,   the company noted. In <Rennes> they admit that the detected  deviations could have occurred due to violations of storage  conditions, transportation or when samples were opened, allowing  contamination from outside the packaging. Currently, the manufacturer  is in contact with Armenian supervisory authorities and partners to  clarify all the circumstances.
