Armenia plans to expand representation of Armenian companies in the  Shanghai Free Trade Zone

ArmInfo.  A delegation from the Chinese city of Shanghai arrived in Armenia at the invitation of the NGO "Center for Armenian-Chinese Partnership" in order to expand the representation of Armenian companies in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, as well as to cooperate in projects of mutual interest.

As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of  Armenia, the delegation, which included the heads of the Pudong New  District of the Shanghai Municipality, the Shanghai Free Trade Zone,  investment units, economic development and management departments,  was received by Deputy Minister of Economy Edgar Zakaryan.

The Ministry also recalled that the Pundue Free Economic Zone (FEZ)  in Shanghai is one of the fastest growing technology centers in  China, where the largest Chinese technology companies specializing in  robotics, medical equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, security  systems, as well as the production of the latest engineering and  computer solutions operate.

During the meeting, the parties discussed ways of interaction and  prospects for developing business ties. In this regard, the Deputy  Minister suggested that his Chinese colleagues consider the  possibility of organizing working meetings in various formats, as  well as creating an industrial cluster with Chinese capital. Zakaryan  expressed his readiness to support initiatives aimed at stimulating  economic cooperation and strengthening business ties between Armenia  and China.
