Since 2016, Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC has belonged to the Tashir Group of Companies, founded by Russian-Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced his intention to nationalize ENA after Samvel Karapetyan expressed public support for the AAC. Then the Armenian parliament adopted a package of legislative amendments aimed at nationalizing the company ENA, which belongs to the Tashir Group of Companies, and on July 18, by decision of the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, Romanos Petrosyan was appointed as the temporary manager of Elseti within the framework of administrative proceedings and the application of preventive measures against ENA.
