Foreigners` real estate transactions  increased by 4.7% in a year

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, during the first half of 2025, foreign citizens conducted 1,820 transactions for the  purchase and sale of real estate, which represents a  4.7% increase from the previous year. Moreover, of the total number of  transactions, 6.8% were made by foreigners (compared to 6.4% the year  before), as evidenced by data from the State Committee of Real Estate  Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia.

According to cadastral data, the number of foreigners selling real  estate in Armenia exceeds the number of those buying it.  Specifically, in the first half of the year, there were 1,000  transactions for the sale of real estate, 773 - for the purchase, and  47 involving both purchase and sale. In total, in the first half of  this year, foreigners purchased 820 real estate properties and sold   1,047.

At the same time, the majority of real estate purchased by foreigners  consists of apartments - 52.9%, followed by garages - 14.1%, land -  13.9%, private houses - 13.3%, public buildings - 5%, with the lowest  percentage being the purchase of industrial buildings - 0.7%. In  terms of sales, the largest share is in land transactions - 36.6%,  followed closely by apartments - 33.5% and private houses - 23.5%. A  small portion includes the sale of garages - 3.5%, public buildings -  2.2%, and industrial buildings - 0.7%.

The most active buyers and sellers of real estate in Armenia are  citizens of the Russian Federation, the USA, Iran, Syria, several  European countries and the CIS.
