ArmInfo. The metallurgical industry of Armenia, based on the results of the first half of 2025, reversed in annual dynamics from 8% growth to 8% decline. According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, such dynamics were provoked mainly by the reduction in the production of copper and molybdenum concentrates.
In particular, the production of copper concentrate worsened in annual dynamics from 15% growth to 9.3% decline, with a volume of 131.2 thousand tons, and molybdenum concentrate - from 25.2% growth to 10.8% decline, amounting to 7,069.4 thousand tons.
The volume of ferromolybdenum production lingered in decline, slowing down in pace from 49.2% to 34.2%, amounting to 1,484.4 thousand tons.
Growth was recorded for other types of metallurgical products. Thus, zinc production volumes reached 5,854 thousand tons, slowing down in growth from 20.8% to 8.7%.
Production of steel pipes in the first half of 2025 increased by 5.4% (against growth of 26% a year earlier), amounting to 11,483.8 thousand tons.
At the same time, the volume of aluminum foil production increased for the first time in a long time. If last year, over the same period, production volumes of aluminum foil decreased by 28.1%, then this year growth of 3.6% was recorded, with a volume of 10,218.1 thousand tons.
It should be noted that according to customs data, all metals produced in Armenia are exported, primarily to Europe and the USA.
