ArmInfo. In Armenia, electricity generation in the first half of 2025 accelerated in annual growth from 1.9% to 4%, amounting to 4,694.7 million kWh. Moreover, in June alone, electricity generation increased by 8.4% - to 701.8 million kWh. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.
According to the source, in the first half of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024, hydroelectric power plants increased electricity generation by 19% - to 1,301.8 million kWh. Solar power plants also increased electricity generation by 69.8% per annum, providing a volume of 743.3 million kWh.
At the same time, thermal power plants reduced electricity generation by 10.5% to 1,415.8 million kWh, and the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant by 11.7% to 1,233.4 million kWh. Wind power plants also reduced electricity generation by 46.1% per annum to 0.4 million kWh.
