ArmInfo. After years of efforts by Iranian experts, Tehran and Yerevan have finally agreed to build a second border bridge in Norduz over the Araks River, as  announced by Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh.

According to her, the two countries have reached a preliminary  agreement on the construction of the new Norduz border bridge,   enhancement to the existing bridge, terminal organization and   adjustments to truck tolls. "We hope, this will reduce travel time  for trucks," she said, as reported by local media.

The Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development added that the  strategic project connecting the Persian Gulf with the Black Sea via  rail is progressing. The existing railway line to Julfa in Iran is  set to be extended from Nakhichevan to Yerevan, with approval already  granted. "This railway line can play an important role in transit  between Iran, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Europe," she added.
