ArmInfo. On August 20, a meeting took place in Yerevan between the co-chairs of the Armenia- Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, the Vice-premiers of the two states, Mher Grigoryan and Alexey Overchuk.
As reported by the press service of the RA government, an extended discussion took place after a private conversation, where they reviewed the implementation of the agreements from the protocol of the 23rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the agenda items of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and Russia. RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan thanked his Russian counterpart for the prompt response and support in the issue of importing grain from Russia to Armenia through the Upper Lars checkpoint.
In terms of enhancing interstate relations between Armenia and Russia, Mher Grigoryan and Alexey Overchuk mutually emphasized the significance of carrying out joint efforts in the areas of trade, economy, transport, energy and customs. They also talked about working together within the EAEU. The Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia and Russia emphasized the importance of unblocking regional communications within the framework of full respect for the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, jurisdiction and reciprocity between countries.
