ArmInfo. Currently, the banking system's assets have reached 109% of GDP, as stated by Martin Galstyan, head of the Central Bank of Armenia, at a government meeting on August 28.
"At the moment, banking assets have exceeded our GDP. As of July 31, the total balance of banking capital amounted to 1.8 trillion drams," he said. According to him, the banking system is becoming more exportable as banking services are provided not only to residents of the country, but also to non-residents. Additionally, the head of the Central Bank emphasized that Armenian banks operate in an extremely transparent manner as all of them undergo audits by G4 companies.
