ArmInfo.During his working visit to Beijing, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun.
According to the PM's office, Pashinyan noted that Armenia's membership in the organization opens up new prospects for investment programs. The parties emphasized that cooperation will facilitate the implementation of projects in infrastructure development.
During the meeting, possible areas of joint work were discussed, including projects for the development of transport, energy and communications infrastructure. Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon the "Academic City" project, noting the potential participation of AIIB as an investor.
In turn, AIIB President Jin Liqun emphasized that the bank is ready to support the development of Armenia's economic, scientific and educational spheres by investing in programs that will contribute to the country's long-term growth and strengthening of regional ties. The parties agreed to continue efforts aimed at developing and implementing specific investment projects.
