The Competition and Consumer Rights Protection Commission of Armenia imposed a fine of 288,828,000 drams on Toch- Master, Inntech, Q Terminal, Shtrikh KKA, Terminal Serv, Mary-Christ and Smart Solutions for setting and applying unreasonably high prices (from 1800 drams, from 2400 drams to 3600 drams) for the purchase of cash register services, as well as discriminatory prices, which led to abuse of a dominant position.
According to the press service of the Regulator, by its decision the Commission instructed: to stop setting and applying unreasonably high and discriminatory prices, to return or credit additional revenue from economic entities that purchased cash register services in the period from November 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025, based on the formula provided for in the decision.
A the end of January 2025, the then Competition Protection Commission of Armenia announced that it was conducting an investigation into the increase in prices for services of cash register servicing companies. In order to facilitate the investigation, the Commission called on all economic entities for whom prices for procurement services increased in 2024 to provide information about this by writing to the e-mail address [email protected].
