ArmInfo. On September 26, Yerevan will host the traditional tourism festival "Discover Armenia" with the aim of stimulating domestic tourism.
According to the press service of the Tourism Committee, pavilions of 10 regions of Armenia will be presented at Freedom Square, where you can get acquainted with the tourist and gastronomic features of the region, its culture and tourism products.
Fans of active recreation will have the opportunity to discover adventure tourism in Armenia.
The festival will be accompanied by a cultural program and live music.
The event is being held on the initiative of the Ministry of Economy and the Tourism Committee of Armenia.
According to the RA Statistical Committee, in January-July the number of domestic tourists increased by 6%, amounting to 390,847 people, of which 70.4% organized their vacation in the regions of Armenia (an increase of 4.5% per year), 23.1% went there for business purposes (an increase of 10.3% per annum), 4% - for health purposes (an increase of 79.5% per annum), 0.4% - for education (a decrease of 30.3% per annum).
