ArmInfo. The RA SRC Department of Electronic Commerce and Air Transport Operations urges citizens arriving in Armenia to only bring cell phones that they have bought and own.
The Committee also urges citizens to refuse offers from fellow citizens to bring cell phones into Armenia from airports in other countries and to avoid giving them to strangers in the country. "These actions could lead to issues during customs control and may be considered as a form of hidden business activity, which may indirectly involve citizens arriving in Armenia. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) reminds that in order to prevent the illegal import of cell phones with commercial value into Armenia, the Customs Service is enforcing strict border controls to stop unlawful actions by citizens," the statement reads.
