ArmInfo. Armenia's GDP growth in 2025 is expected to be slightly above 5%, surpassing the 5.1% budgeted in the state budget, according to Vache Gabrielyan, Dean of the College of Business and Economics at the American University of Armenia and former Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia. He made this remark to an ArmInfo correspondent during a panel discussion "Armenia's New Reality as an Economic Shock" on September 24.
"Since our potential is estimated at 4.5-5%, we are likely to exceed this figure slightly. However, I don't predict a significant increase-up to 6-7%," Vache Gabrielyan said. It's worth noting that many experts believe Armenia's GDP generation potential remains below 5%. However, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan insists that this figure has increased in recent years, and is now estimated at 5-5.5%. "In recent years, we've entered a different growth trajectory," says Armenia's top financier.
