ArmInfo.Romanos Petrosyan, interim manager of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) company, receives 5,200,000 AMD per month and 62,400,000 AMD per year, as noted in a statement issued by the ENA Control Committee.
The statement, particularly, reads: "In total, the annual salary of the eight appointees of the Civil Contract (the ruling party, the Civil Contract) at ENA, who are not related to the energy sector, amounts to 212,976,000 AMD. In 7 years, this figure will be 1,490,832,000 AMD." The ENA Control Committee also noted that "the ENA interim manager has disseminated false information for the second time." "We urge the newly appointed energy executive to refute the claim that the salaries of the ENA Board of Directors members in any way impact tariffs. The owner pays the Board of Directors' salaries out of his own pocket, and this has no impact on tariffs," the statement reads.
Tashir Group Vice President Narek Karapetyan has also responded to the ENA interim manager's statement. He noted that as deputy chairman of the company's board of directors, he used to donate his salary to charity-to the Tashir Charity Foundation. "This is somewhat sad news. I'm attaching receipts below, which clearly show that I do donated the salary of the deputy chairman of the board of directors to charity-to the Tashir Charity Foundation," he wrote on Facebook. He emphasized that the Board of Directors' salaries are paid by Samvel Karapetyan, and they in no way affect electricity rates.
