Armenian-Turkish border opening issues are manageable and solvable -  Economy Minister

ArmInfo. There will be no significant issues with the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border, as stated by  Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during a  session of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Regional and  Eurasian Integration.

However, he did not rule out the possibility of encountering some  difficulties with certain goods. Papoyan stated that all of these  issues, in terms of volumes, finances, and resources, are manageable  and fall within the scope of the ministry's decisions. Specifically,  he noted that decisions can be made without causing political or  other problems. Additionally, the ministry can develop state support  programs for specific cases.

"That is, when you gain something big, you can lose something small,"  the Minister of Economy said. He also assured the public that they  would not experience any negative effects thanks to the existing  tools, mechanisms, and financial resources available to address  potential issues.  When asked by the opposition parliamentarian about  the basis of calculations, Papoyan simply recommended referring to  his research, pointing to his articles  in international scientific  journals regarding the opening of borders with Turkey and Azerbaijan.  He clarified that the article was written in his capacity as  Gevorg  Papoyan, an associate professor at Yerevan State University,  and not  as  a representative of the Economy Ministry.
