Russian Federation`s restrictions on EAEU citizens` stay in Russia  contradicts provisions outlined in Treaty on  Eurasian Economic Union  - Minister

ArmInfo.  The Russian Federation's restrictions on the duration of stay of foreigners,  including those from EAEU countries, contradicts the provisions  outlined in the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, as stated by  RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on October 27 during a hearing of  the RA National Assembly committees on the draft 2026 state budget.

Mirzoyan mentioned ongoing discussions underway with the Russian side  regarding the possible extension of the stay period from 90 to 180  days. Moreover, the Minister emphasized that this issue is not  limited to Armenia-Russia relations but also affects Russia's  relations with other Union countries. He also raised concerns about  goods unlawfully detained at Russian borders. These phenomena could  result in both diplomatic intervention and decisions by individual  agencies, as Armenian companies themselves often exploit the  situation by exporting unknown substances under the guise of cognac,  or by supplying dairy products with incorrect milk content  percentage.
