ArmInfo. In 2026, 74.5 billion drams will be allocated from the state budget for the Armenian Ministry of Economy's projects, as announced by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during the hearings on the draft state budget in the National Assembly.
Specifically, he emphasized that 66 initiatives within 10 projects will be implemented in 2026. However, the Minister expressed concern that the funds allocated from the state budget are insufficient to achieve the stated goals and planned projects. "We have larger programs," Papoyan noted and added that the targets for all programs implemented in 2025 have been exceeded, necessitating additional financial resources. The Minister expressed confidence that the targets set for 2026 will be met before the end of the year. "And this is the reason why we have higher-than-planned economic growth," the Minister said.
Papoyan clarified that the majority of the funds allocated from the state budget, will be directed toward the economic modernization program, with 22.4 billion drams allocated to subsidize 8,600 loans and leasing transactions for 2.4 billion beneficiaries.
