Public Services Regulatory Commission declined proposal to lower  electricity supply prices - Our Movement coordinator

ArmInfo. The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) rejected the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) company's proposal to reduce electricity prices. Narek  Karapetyan, coordinator of the "Our Way" movement and CEO of Tashir  Capital CJSC, announced this on his Facebook page.

"Our proposal to reduce electricity prices was rejected. Five months  ago, on June 6 (before the infamous events of June 17), we, on behalf  of ENA, approached the PSRC chairman with a proposal to reduce the  electricity price by 3.6 billion drams, since savings and losses in  the system were low, resulting in a positive balance. On June 13,  this proposal was rejected in a reply letter from the commission  chairman.  Can you guess why the official appointed by the Civil  Contract refused?" Karapetyan asked.

As a reminder, Samvel Karapetyan was detained in Yerevan on the night  of June 18 by Armenian law enforcement agencies after expressing  support for the Armenian Apostolic Church. This was followed by open  threats from the Prime Minister. On the night of June 19, the Yerevan  Court of General Jurisdiction remanded Samvel Karapetyan in custody  for two months. He is being held in the Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary  (the notorious "KGB basement" in the National Security Service  building). He is accused of publicly calling for a coup d'etat.  Karapetyan denies the charges. Furthermore, in July, the head of the  Tashir Group of Companies was charged with new money laundering. In  October, the Anti-Corruption Court extended Karapetyan's detention  once again, this time for another month.
