Armenia significantly increased automobile imports in the first half  of 2025

ArmInfo.  According to data from the RA Customs Service, in the first half of 2025, Armenia significantly increased its passenger car imports - by 64.3%  year-on-year to 26,600 units, with a 37% increase in customs value to  $361.6 million.

Passenger cars were imported primarily from the United States (30%),  China (26%), Mexico (25.5%), Japan (4.8%), and Korea (5.2%). Much  smaller quantities came from Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy,  Russia, Canada, India, Spain, Turkey, Slovakia, Hungary, Sweden,  Austria, Finland, Thailand, France, South Africa, Belgium, Georgia,  Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Taiwan, Poland,  Singapore, Jordan, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, and  Kyrgyzstan.

During the reporting period, car exports from Armenia decreased  significantly - by 74.3% to 156 units, while the customs value  decreased by 58.1% to $11.7 million. Cars from Armenia were exported  to Georgia (37.2%), the United Arab Emirates (26.3%), Russia (19.8%),  as well as the United States, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus,  Germany, Poland, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and France.
