Armenia`s first satellite, Armsat-1,  entered controlled deorbit  phase

ArmInfo.  Armenia's first Earth remote sensing satellite, Armsat-1, has entered the controlled deorbit phase, marking the completion of its satellite program, the  Armenian Ministry of High-Tech Industry reports.

It is noted that the Armenian government's decision to launch  Armsat-1 was an important step in helping Armenia enter the space  era, demonstrating the strategic importance of space technologies in  the modern world and Armenia's commitment to becoming part of the  space economy of the future.

Over the past three and a half years, Armsat-1 has provided numerous  regional satellite images of Armenia, enabling their use for both  scientific and systemic purposes. Another key achievement of the  Armsat-1 mission is that it provided the opportunity to train  specialists and develop a professional team that will ensure the  design, implementation, and operation of the satellite, as well as  the collection and processing of data for subsequent programs.

According to the source, the experience and data gained during the  Armsat-1 mission are already being utilized in the design of  next-generation Earth observation and communications satellites. In  parallel, technical and technological requirements for the new  Armsat-2 satellite have been defined, and active cooperation is  underway with recognized international organizations to implement  Armsat-2 obligations.  Armenia strives to become a consumer and  experienced user of space technologies, building on the successful  experience of the satellite mission. Armenia also aims to test and  integrate applicable technological solutions in the future.
