
ArmInfo. In January-September 2025, Armenia generated 7,355.6 million kWh of electricity, marking an 8.2% increase compared to the same period last year. According to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, power generation decreased by 10.8% in September alone, amounting to 847.5 million kWh.
Specifically, in January-September 2025, hydroelectric power plants increased their electricity generation by 20.9% year-on-year, reaching 1,836.3 million kWh. The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) increased its output by 6%, totaling 2,007.3 million kWh. Additionally, thermal power plants reduced their electricity production by 15.3% year-on-year, down to 2,225.6 million kWh.
Wind power plants produced 0.6 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period, a 35.4% year-on- year decline, while solar power plant output increased by 69.4% to 1,285.8 million kWh.
