ArmInfo. Armenia's metallurgy sector saw an average production decline of 10% in the first nine months of 2025 (compared to a 7% increase the previous year ). According to data from the RA Statistics Committee, this decline was mainly due to a deterioration in copper and molybdenum concentrate production, with ferromolybdenum output also seeing a continued decline.
Specifically, copper concentrate production went from an 11.3% growth rate to a 13% decline, reaching 202,200 tons. Molybdenum concentrate production also decreased, decelerating from 29.5% to 13%, reaching 11,346,600 tons. Ferromolybdenum production decrease as well, decelerating from 41.4% to 32.2%, reaching 2,242,400 tons.
Zinc production continued to grow, decelerating from 29.5% to 9.8%, reaching 8,556,000 tons. Steel pipe production also slowed down, from 20% to 11.3%, reaching 19,547,100 tons. Meanwhile, aluminum foil production in Armenia reversed a 24.7% decline to 4.1% growth, reaching 15,410,600 tons. All metals produced in Armenia are primarily exported to Europe and the United States.
