Armenia's information and telecommunications technology (ICT) sector saw an increase in revenue by 21% in the first nine months (compared to a 0.3% decline the previous year), reaching AMD 886 billion ($2.279 billion), according to data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
The dominant segment of Armenia's ICT sector-the services sector-accounted for 66.2%, or AMD 586.3 billion (a 28.8% year-on-year increase). Within this sector, information technology had the largest share, with AMD 461 billion (a 24.3% year-on-year increase), while the telecommunications segment accounted for AMD 118.2 billion (a 2.9% year-on-year increase). Although the production ICT segment's share was only 0.2%, revenue increased 2.7-fold to AMD 1.8 billion. Revenue in the ICT trade sector increased by 25.6% over the first nine months, reaching AMD 297.8 billion.
It should be noted that the average exchange rate of the dram to the US dollar in January-September 2025 was AMD 388.66/$1, and in September, AMD 382.83/$1.
