
ArmInfo. In the first half of 2025, Armenia increased its exports of fresh and frozen tomatoes by 3.6%, supplying 6,300 tons to foreign markets. The customs value also rose by 39.5% to $16.4 million, according to data from the RA Customs Service.
Almost the entire volume (99.9%) went to the Russian market, with only 173 kg of tomatoes exported to Georgia. Imports of fresh and frozen tomatoes increased by 3.7% to 5,200 tons, with a 6.2% increase in customs value to $7.4 million. Iran remains the primary source of imported tomatoes for Armenia (78.4%), followed by Turkey (21.3%) and Turkmenistan (0.3%). Less than 1 ton of tomatoes is imported to Armenia from Morocco, Georgia, Russia, France, and Spain.
