"We continue to experience higher economic growth rates than projected in the 2025 budget and by international organizations," he emphasized.
Recall, the draft budget for 2025 projects economic growth at 5.6%. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has revised its GDP growth forecast for Armenia in 2025 to 5% from the previous 4.8% (compared to actual growth of 5.9% in 2024), with an expected slowdown in 2026 to 4.5%. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects economic growth in Armenia to be 5%, increasing to 5.5% in 2026. In its April forecasts, the World Bank (WB) predicted a further slowdown in Armenia's GDP growth to 4% in 2025 and 4.2% in 2026. Meanwhile, in the updated September forecast of the Central Bank of Armenia, the GDP growth rate in 2025 was revised to 5.8-5.7%, depending on the inflation trajectory. According to the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), Armenia's economy is expected to stabilize with a growth trajectory of 5.5% in 2025-2027. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) expects Armenia's GDP growth to be 5% in 2025, decreasing to 4.7% in 2026. Fitch forecasts Armenia's GDP growth to be 5% in 2025 and 4.7% in 2026.
