
ArmInfo. The Armenian Ambassador to Greece, Tigran Mkrtchyan, discussed the potential for developing bilateral economic and business ties with the Chair of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yannis Bratakos.
According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Greece, the parties reiterated that Armenia and Greece have excellent relations in political, defense, cultural, educational, and several other areas, and that ties in all areas are constantly developing.
They pointed to the memorandum of cooperation signed last year between Enterprise Armenia and Enterprise Greece as an important foundation for further cooperation. Mkrtchyan presented areas of investment interest for Armenia: high technology, renewable energy, processing, construction, infrastructure expansion, and agriculture. He also added that targeted and tangible cooperation with Greece in some of these areas is feasible.
The importance of intensifying contacts between business circles in areas of mutual interest was discussed, and an agreement was reached to organize reciprocal business missions, particularly in high technology, infrastructure development, and the food industry.
According to Armenia's Statistical Committee, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Greece increased by 0.9% in January-September 2025, reaching $42.8 million. Exports increased by 68% to $1.7 million, while imports decreased by 0.8% to $41.1 million.
