
ArmInfo. The 8th meeting of the Armenian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Warsaw. According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Economy Anushik Avetyan.
She expressed confidence that today's meeting will help strengthen the existing cooperation and projects, as well as open up new opportunities.
The Deputy Minister noted that bilateral relations cover several key areas, including trade, capital markets, economic reforms, agriculture, innovation, transport, environmental protection, healthcare, and more. She also highlighted the potential for cooperation between Armenia and Poland in capital market development, agriculture, environmental protection and green technologies, investment and innovation, transport, and logistics. According to the Ministry of Economy, Avetian also pointed out the preliminary signing of the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, which opened a real opportunity for lasting peace, stability, and economic cooperation.
She expressed confidence that Armenia's Crossroads of Peace initiative is a continuation of this positive process. "This will contribute to regional prosperity and create new opportunities for Armenia, neighboring countries, as well as Poland and EU member states," Avetian said.
It should be noted that, according to the Statistics Committee, in January-September 2025, foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Poland increased by 3% annually, amounting to $65.4 million. At the same time, exports decreased by 39.4% to $7.9 million, while imports grew by 14.1% to $57.5 million.
