
ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan met with the heads of American multinational semiconductor companies operating in Armenia.
The discussion primarily focused on practical issues related to the development of the semiconductor industry, technology export and import control procedures, and opportunities arising from the Memorandum of Innovative Partnership in Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technologies, signed between Armenia and the United States in Washington on August 8. The meeting participants outlined upcoming steps in this direction.
According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, an agreement was reached following the meeting to continue joint work and develop a systemic approach that will contribute to the development of Armenia's technology ecosystem and enhance its international competitiveness. According to the source, representatives from Synopsys, AMD, CISCO, Emerson (NI), Siemens, the Investment Promotion Center, and industry associations participated in the meeting.
