ArmInfo.Armenia plans to set a starting price for land plots at auction at a reduced rate in the event of the alienation of state-owned and municipally owned land. During its November 26 session, the National Assembly Committee on Territorial Administration, Local Self-Government, Agriculture, and Environmental Protection approved the amendments to the Land Code and the Law "On Appraisal Activities" submitted by the government in the first reading.
In his speech, Armen Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, noted that the need to adopt the package is to clarify several regulatory legal acts. Specifically, the planned amendments involve the revision of the starting price for state- and municipally owned land plots sold at electronic auctions, as well as provisions related to the organization and conduct of auctions via electronic systems.
Armen Simonyan presented the proposed regulations in detail and noted that the government will establish additional conditions for the organization and conduct of electronic auctions of land plots subject to alienation through electronic auctions.
