
ArmInfo. Armenia and Turkey reaffirm the importance of continuing dialogue and regular contacts aimed at improving bilateral relations. This was discussed in Istanbul during a meeting between RA Minister of Economy Gevork Papoyan and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli.
According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy, during the meeting, the Turkish minister highly praised RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent visit to Turkey, noting its positive impact on the development of bilateral relations. The interlocutors discussed the possibility of resuming the Kars- Gyumri railway line, as well as new economic, logistical, and trade opportunities opening up for the two countries thanks to the TRIPP program.
They also discussed opportunities for market diversification, the development of new logistics routes, and the expansion of mutual economic interests. The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation in the agricultural sector, in particular agricultural insurance, joint efforts to combat hail and animal diseases.
