
ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Head of the Tourism Committee Lusine Gevorgyan met with representatives of the region's tourism cluster in Vayots Dzor.
According to the Ministry of Economy's press service, tourism cluster development programs in Yeghegis, Jermuk, and Areni will be presented during the meeting. As a reminder, the World Bank has launched the Tourism Development and Regional Infrastructure Improvement Program (TRIP) in Armenia, with a budget of $100 million. These funds will be used to create 10 tourism clusters in Armenia, including in such towns as Areni, Jermuk, Goris, Dvin, Gyumri, Aparan, Yeghegis, Sevan, Dilijan, and others. The program will be implemented from 2025 to 2029.
It is worth noting that, according to the Statistics Committee, 1,734,247 tourists visited Armenia in January-September 2025, an increase of 0.8% compared to the same period last year.
