The delegation included representatives of several reputable organizations, including the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), CZEC Operation and Maintenance Engineering Ltd., China Nuclear Power Engineering, and others.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current areas of cooperation, working issues of mutual interest, and potential new initiatives. Both sides presented proposals for technical cooperation, best practices, and prospects for future joint projects.
As a result of the discussions, the parties emphasized the importance of mutual and joint cooperation, emphasizing the need to strengthen partnerships and build a long-term partnership. The parties agreed to continue regular working contacts with the aim of developing future programs for mutually beneficial, stable, and continuous cooperation. As a reminder, active discussions are underway in Armenia regarding the construction of a nuclear power plant with a small modular reactor. China is actively developing this area of nuclear energy, having commissioned the world's first high-temperature modular reactor (HTR-PM). Furthermore, China is building the world's first multi-purpose SMR, Linglong-1, which will serve as the basis for future projects. These reactors are designed not only for electricity generation but also for other purposes, such as heating, steam generation, and water desalination.
