
ArmInfo. Armenia generated 8,156.9 million kWh of electricity in January-October 2025, a 7.9% increase compared to the same period last year, as evidenced by data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia. In October alone, power generation decreased by 5.4% to 801.3 million kWh.
In January-October 2025, hydroelectric power plants increased their power generation by 15.5% year-on- year to 1,941.7 million kWh. The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) also saw an increase in its output by 3.9% year-on-year to 2,305.6 million kWh. Solar power plants demonstrated the most significant increase in power generation, up 68.8% year-on-year to 1,430.5 million kWh.
Meanwhile, thermal power plants reduced their power generation by 4.9% year-on-year to 2,478.4 million kWh. Wind power plants also experienced a decrease in power generation by 24.6% year-on-year to 0.7 million kWh.
