
ArmInfo. In Armenia, the service sector saw an increase in its annual growth from 5.8% to 10.8% in January-October 2025, reaching 3.3 trillion drams ($8.6 billion). According to the RA Statistics Committee, in October alone, the volume of services provided increased by 1.8% to 366 billion drams ($956.3 million).
This improvement can be attributed to the dominant information and communications sector, which recovered from an 8.6% decline to 19.5% growth, as well as a slowdown in the decline in transport services from 12.7% to 2.6%. Accelerated growth was recorded in healthcare services, from 8.1% to 10.2%, and administrative and support services, from 6.3% to 13.1%. A slowdown in growth was also seen in catering, from 7.9% to 4.3%; culture, entertainment, and recreation, from 12% to 3.7%; education, from 4.4% to 2.3%; real estate, from 12.6% to 10.7%; professional and technical activities, from 12.9% to 9.1%; and the financial sector, from 21.2% to 15.4%.
In terms of the volume of provided services, the financial sector holds a leading position, providing 1.1 trillion drams (32.4% of the total), with banks accounting for the lion's share. The information and communications sector ranks second in terms of service volume, with AMD 678.4 billion (20.3% of the total), with the telecommunications segment accounting for the bulk of the total. Transportation ranks third with AMD 379.6 billion (11.4% of the total), followed by catering and tourism with AMD 304.5 billion (9.1% of the total) and culture, entertainment, and recreation with AMD 263.8 billion (7.9% of the total). The average exchange rate for the dram to the US dollar in January-October 2025 was AMD 388.06/$1, and in October, AMD 382.71/$1.
