ArmInfo. In Armenia, 26,768 babies were born in January-October 2025, showing a 4.8% decrease compared to the same period last year. The birth rate per 1,000 inhabitants for the reporting period was 10.4 per thousand, down from 11.1 per thousand in the same period of 2024, according to data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
During the reporting period, 21,080 people died in Armenia (showing a year-on-year increase). The death rate in the country was 8.2 per thousand, compared to 8.4 per thousand in the same period of 2024. As a result, the absolute value of natural population growth was 5,688 people, which is 19% lower than the level of the previous year. The natural population growth rate for January-October 2025 was 2.2 per thousand, compared to 2.7 per thousand in the same period of 2024.
