
ArmInfo. The 5th meeting of the Technical Commission on Tourism Cooperation between Armenia and Iran was held in Yerevan, with the participation of authorized bodies from the two countries' tourism industries.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the tourism sector, measures aimed at increasing tourist flows between the two countries, new opportunities for cooperation, existing obstacles and steps to overcome them, and upcoming challenges were discussed.
The Iranian delegation was led by Anoushirvan Bandpei, Deputy Minister for Tourism at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, and the Armenian delegation was led by Lusine Gevorgyan, Chair of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy.
According to the Statistics Committee, 166,300 tourists from Iran visited Armenia from January to November 2025, a 1.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
