The American technology company AMD (Advanced Micro Devices) is interested in new opportunities for cooperation with Armenia, as stated by Dan Gibbons, AMD Vice President, during a meeting with Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan. Dan Gibbons presented AMD's main directions of activity and the progress of its current programs in Armenia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Technology and Industry, the meeting addressed several issues related to simplifying import and export procedures, as well as improving access to advanced technologies. The parties also discussed the importance of fostering partnerships within universities and academia. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of implementing joint educational programs and research initiatives, supporting laboratory capacity, and developing professional personnel. In this context, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of acquiring necessary skills for AMD's further development in Armenia and the implementation of advanced technological solutions, including artificial intelligence and others.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Gibbons and Hayrapetyan outlined the next steps for developing their paertnership.
