
ArmInfo. Armenia ranked sixth among the largest fish exporters to the Russian market, as reported by RIA Novosti, based on data from the UN Comtrade platform and national customs agencies.
According to the report, Armenia's shipments to Russia fell by 8 percent over the year, totaling $39.5 million worth of fish and fish products exported this year.
Turkey remained in first place, with shipments up 6% to $316 million. Chile increased its shipments to $249.9 million. China ranked third, increasing its fish and seafood exports to Russia by a fifth over the year to $198.7 million. The Faroe Islands followed in fourth place: this autonomous Danish territory shipped $73.6 million worth of goods to Russia, a 2% increase over the year. India took fifth place, although the country's shipments fell by almost a third over the year, settling at $65 million.
