ArmInfo. At a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg, the heads of state of the Eurasian Economic Union approved a policy document outlining the objectives and directions of the EAEU's foreign trade policy until 2030. These approaches include principles and instruments of cooperation, as well as country priorities, according to the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
"In the current rapidly changing trade and political landscape, the Union is paying significant attention to developing, diversifying, and improving the quality of trade and economic cooperation with partner countries. This is evident, among other things, in the number of trade deals concluded in the past year. We will continue our active trade policy in the medium term," noted Andrey Slepnev, Minister of Trade of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The document was developed in furtherance of the objective previously set by the leaders of the EAEU countries to ensure the Union functions as a pole of economic attraction on the international stage. This objective is enshrined in the Declaration "The Eurasian Economic Path."
