ArmInfo. Armenia hopes that Russia will restore the railway lines connecting it with Nakhichevan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey as soon as possible. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters this during a briefing, commenting on the agenda of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"If obstacles arise and Russia sees any problems in completing these works within the specified timeframe, I expressed the Republic of Armenia's readiness to restore these sections, which are under concession management, using funds from the state budget," he said.
Pashinyan met with Vladimir Putin on December 22 as part of a working visit to St. Petersburg to participate in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The parties discussed recent developments in the South Caucasus region, as well as the opportunities these processes offer for developing relations between Armenia and Russia, as well as the EAEU.
