ArmInfo. As Prime Minister, you realize even more clearly that state budget revenues and the tax system are of paramount importance, because there is no state without a budget. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement on December 26 at the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia.
He thanked the agency's staff for their work, particularly their efforts to ensure state budget revenues and the results achieved. A choir performed the Armenian anthem within the Tax and Customs Committee.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the tax system and state revenues are among the institutions that are undervalued in Armenia. "I believe that the impossibility of a state's existence without a tax system is not sufficiently understood among us, and the system of collecting taxes and state revenues is one of the pillars of any state," the Prime Minister said. According to him, ensuring the country's security, developing the education and healthcare sectors, and building roads- all depend on the state budget's revenue and expenditure.
The Prime Minister called tax collection a very important indicator of state effectiveness. "The State Revenue Committee's high tax collection rates are a very important indicator of state effectiveness. Of course, here I once again remember to express my gratitude to all citizens who work in Armenia, achieve results, and pay taxes as established by law. This is also a conscious process, during which we also come to the conclusion that citizens who provide or request a cash receipt also play a very important role in these processes. There are also conceptual issues here that we still do not fully understand," he said. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan attached great importance to the issuance of a cash receipt and urged people to request one, thereby contributing to the resolution of many problems in the country.
According to the head of state, the State Revenue Committee is not a power structure, but an institution that supports economic entities in the proper organization of their activities. The Prime Minister presented awards to several State Revenue Committee employees.
