More tourists in Armenia last year as compared with 2024 

ArmInfo.  Tourist flow in 2025 will exceed the 2024 figure.  Lusine Gevorgyan, head of the Armenian Tourism Committee, announced this in an interview with Public  Television.

Noting that the results for 2025 have not yet been finalized, she  reported that 2.150 million tourists visited Armenia in  January-November, while the total for all of 2024 was 2.200 million.

According to Gevorgyan, the top three countries whose citizens  traditionally prefer to vacation in Armenia are Russia, neighboring  Iran, and Georgia. She also noted a significant increase in tourists  from China, the Persian Gulf, and Europe.

The head of the Committee noted that direct flights are the key to  increasing tourist flow. In this regard, she stated that active  negotiations are underway with various air carriers regarding the  launch of direct flights.  Particular attention is being paid to  major tourist cities in China.

She reported that, overall, over 40 airlines currently operate  flights from Armenia to more than 70 cities worldwide.
