The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has set the import customs duty rate on natural calcium phosphates, aluminum-calcium natural phosphates, and phosphate chalk at 0% of the customs value until February 29, 2028, inclusive. This was reported in a statement by the EEC press service.
"The application of the zero import customs duty rate will ensure the capacity utilization of mineral fertilizer producers given the limited phosphate production in the Eurasian Economic Union," noted Vahagn Kazaryan, Director of the EEC Department of Customs, Tariff, and Non-Tariff Regulation. The decision will enter into force 30 calendar days after its official publication.
In accordance with the Decision of the EEC Board of December 27, 2023, from January 5, 2024 to January 4, 2026, a temporary import customs duty rate of 0% of the customs value was already applied to the named goods.
