
ArmInfo. Counterfeit alcoholic beverages and tobacco products with fake excise stamps have been found on the Armenian market, according to the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia.
The SRC had received information that alcoholic beverages and tobacco products of suspicious origin were being sold in Armenia. In response, large-scale investigative operations were carried out in the capital and various regions of the country in December 2025 to uncover individuals involved in criminal schemes related to the production and sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. As a result of comprehensive operational and investigative measures, 844 bottles of counterfeit alcoholic beverages, 46,720 packs of various types of tobacco products, and 372 e-cigarettes were seized. They were being sold illegally and y had counterfeit excise stamps and control identification marks.
Furthermore, a review of advertisements for the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products on social media revealed instances of alcoholic beverages being sold without excise stamps and control identification marks by seven individuals engaged in illegal entrepreneurial activity. Appropriate reports were drawn up, and administrative cases were initiated for these violations.
