ArmInfo. The Georgian government intends to fully complete the construction of roads connecting Azerbaijan and Armenia with Turkey by 2026, as part of the  Middle Corridor project.

The Middle Corridor is a route that runs through China, Kazakhstan,  the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and onward to European  countries.

According to the government's plans, outlined in the 2026 budget, it  is planned to fully complete the Rustavi-Red Bridge and  Algeti-Sadakhlo sections leading to the borders of Armenia and  Azerbaijan, and to build the Batumi-Sarpi road leading to the Turkish  border.

"The implementation of these projects will complete the construction  of sections of the Middle Corridor connecting Georgia, Azerbaijan,  Armenia, and Turkey," the document states, Georgia-Online reports.  The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was established in  February 2014 with the participation of leading maritime and rail  transport companies from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia.

The corridor currently runs from the Chinese-Kazakh border through  Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia to Europe.  Georgia joined the Middle Corridor in 2022. Turkey initiated the  inclusion of Georgia in the corridor as part of the transit route.
