Zvartnots International Airport records all-time high with  5,615,789  passengers in 2025

ArmInfo.  Zvartnots International Airport  handled a record-breaking 5,615,789 passengers in 2025, marking the highest traffic volume in the airport's history  in 2025, according to Corporacion America Airports.

This figure represents a 7% increase over the year, and an 85.8%  increase compared to pre-COVID-19 2019. A total of 2.810 million  passengers arrived, and 2.805 million departed. At the same time, the  airport recorded a 1.2% increase in cargo volume to 42,761 tons. The  total number of flights handled in 2025 was 42,857, representing a  7.5% year-on-year increase. It is worth noting that Zvartnots and  Shirak (Gyumri) airports are operated under a concession agreement by  the Argentine company Corporacion America, owned by prominent  businessman Eduardo Eurnekian.

According to the Tourism Committee, Armenia welcomed 2.26 million  tourists  in 2025, a 2.7% increase over the previous year.  Traditionally, the lion's share of tourists are citizens of the  Russian Federation (41% or 921.700, followed by tourists from Georgia  (13% or 288.500), Iran (8% or 182.300), the USA (3% or 60.800), China  (2% or 44.600), Germany (1.5% or 34.100), India and Ukraine (1.2%  each or 28.400 and 27.600, respectively), Italy (1% or 22.600), etc.

The most active travel demographic for Armenia remains the 35-44  (33%) age group,  followed by those aged 25-34 (16%), 45-54 (15%),  55-64 (11%),  over 65 (8%), 18-24 years old (7%), up to 12 years old  (6%), and 13-17 years old (4%).
