In December 2025 alone, 44,568 new jobs were created, representing a 6% increase compared to the same month in 2024. The Minister also reported a 6% increase in the average monthly salary, which reached 401,400 AMD (approximately $1,060) as of the reporting date. To provide historical context, Papoyan noted that the average wage has increased by 186,387 AMD compared to December 2017.
Recall, the unemployment rate in Armenia dropped to 11.8% in Q3 2025 from 13.3% in Q3 2024. Moreover, the employment rate in the country remained relatively stable at 52.21% in Q3 2025 compared to Q3 to 52.2% in Q3 2024. The Q3 employment level showed a slight improvement over the 51.2% recorded in Q2 2025.
