Armenia to bar low-rated construction firms from state tenders

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, construction and design companies, as well as organizations offering technical supervision in this area, will be evaluated based on their  performance in the last three years. Yeghiazar Vardanyan, Chairman of  the RA Urban Development Committee, shared this information during a  year-end press conference on January 26.

According to Vardanyan, the evaluation process will be integrated  into the urban.e-gov.am digital platform.  Ratings will be calculated  based on a company's performance over the preceding three years.  Licensed organizations will be categorized into four distinct tiers:   Low,   Medium,  High and   Highest. The rating will be generated  automatically; the commission will evaluate the work of applicants  for the 4th-the highest-rating. Based on the rating results,  mechanisms for introducing restrictions or incentives will be  determined for them.
